Building Futures Pediatric Therapy is a fast-growing, family-centered pediatric therapy practice serving children from birth through 18 years of age. We provide Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy across three clinic locations in Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston, Louisiana. Our team is dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families while fostering a positive, encouraging workplace for every employee.
Position Summary
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats children with developmental, sensory, physical, cognitive, and fine motor challenges to improve their ability to participate in meaningful daily activities. The Occupational Therapist develops individualized treatment plans that promote independence, functional skills, and participation at home, school, and within the community while partnering closely with families and an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each child's unique strengths and needs.
- Educate and collaborate with parents and caregivers to promote carryover of therapy goals at home.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain a positive, engaging, family-centered therapy environment.
- Follow all clinic policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Louisiana Occupational Therapy License (or eligibility for licensure).
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
